           ThistimePorthosreceivedtheblowrightinhisstomach,andfeltit.ItappearedlikewisethatMme.Coquenardwasnotlessaffectedbyitonherpart,forsheadded,"Mycousinwillnotreturnifhefindsthatwedonottreathimkindly;butotherwisehehassolittletimetopassinParis,andconsequentlytosparetous,thatwemustentreathimtogiveuseveryinstanthecancallhisownprevioustohisdeparture."

           "Oh,mylegs,mypoorlegs!whereareyou?"murmuredCoquenard,andhetriedtosmile.
