           Mrs.Gummidgemoaned.

           Mrs.Gummidge,whimperingandshakingherhead,appliedherselftoblowingthefire.Mr.Peggotty,lookingrounduponuswhileshewassoengaged,saidinalowvoice,whichheshadedwithhishand:‘Theold‘un!’FromthisIrightlyconjecturedthatnoimprovementhadtakenplacesincemylastvisitinthestateofMrs.Gummidge’sspirits.

           Now,thewholeplacewas,oritshouldhavebeen,quiteasdelightfulaplaceasever;andyetitdidnotimpressmeinthesameway.Ifeltratherdisappointedwithit.
