‘MyfriendMr.Dick,’repliedmyauntproudly,‘isnotacommonman.’
‘ThatIamconvincedof,’saidMr.Micawber.‘Mydearsir!’forMr.Dickwasshakinghandswithhimagain;‘Iamdeeplysensibleofyourcordiality!’
‘Howdoyoufindyourself?’saidMr.Dick,withananxiouslook.
‘Indifferent,mydearsir,’returnedMr.Micawber,sighing.
‘Youmustkeepupyourspirits,’saidMr.Dick,‘andmakeyourselfascomfortableaspossible.’
Mr.Micawberwasquiteovercomebythesefriendlywords,andbyfindingMr.Dick’shandagainwithinhisown.
