ThismademereflectuponthefairskinsofourEnglishladies,whoappearsobeautifultous,onlybecausetheyareofourownsize,andtheirdefectsnottobeseenbutthroughamagnifyingglass;wherewefindbyexperimentthatthesmoothestandwhitestskinslookrough,andcoarse,andill-coloured.

Whendinnerwasdone,mymasterwentouttohislabourers,and,asIcoulddiscoverbyhisvoiceandgesture,gavehiswifestrictchargetotakecareofme.
