Unfortunatelyford’Artagnan,amongthespectatorswasoneofhisEminence’sGuardsmen,who,stillirritatedbythedefeatofhiscompanions,whichhadhappenedonlythedaybefore,hadpromisedhimselftoseizethefirstopportunityofavengingit.
