           Whenthefirststreaksofdawnappearedinthewesternhorizon,thewind,whichhadslightlyfallen,shiftedtwopoints,andenabledPencrofttoenterthenarrowgulfwithgreaterease.Towardsseveno’clockinthemorning,the"Bonadventure,"weatheringtheNorthMandibleCape,enteredthestraitandglidedontothewaters,sostrangelyenclosedintheframeoflava.
