Ihadforgottenthewilddogs.TheyweresmallenoughtogothroughanypassagethatIcouldsqueezethrough.Onenighttheynosedmeout.Hadtheyenteredbothcavesatthesametimetheywouldhavegotme.Asitwas,followedbysomeofthemthroughthepassage,Idashedoutthemouthoftheothercave.Outsideweretherestofthewilddogs.TheysprangformeasIsprangforthecliff-wallandbegantoclimb.Oneofthem,aleanandhungrybrute,caughtmeinmid-leap.Histeethsankintomythigh-muscles,andhenearlydraggedmeback.Heheldon,butImadenoefforttodislodgehim,devotingmywholeefforttoclimbingoutofreachoftherestofthebrutes.
