           Ithappenedonceortwice,however,thatPulcheriaAlexandrovnagavesuchaturntotheconversationthatitwasimpossibletoanswerherwithoutmentioningwhereRodyawas,andonreceivingunsatisfactoryandsuspiciousanswersshebecameatoncegloomyandsilent,andthismoodlastedforalongtime.
