           "Thereweresomeverystrongobjectionsagainstthelady,"wereColonelFitzwilliam’swords;andthosestrongobjectionsprobablywere,herhavingoneunclewhowasacountryattorney,andanotherwhowasinbusinessinLondon. 

           "ToJaneherself,"sheexclaimed,"therecouldbenopossibilityofobjection;alllovelinessandgoodnessassheis!—herunderstandingexcellent,hermindimproved,andhermannerscaptivating. Neithercouldanythingbeurgedagainstmyfather,who,thoughwithsomepeculiarities,hasabilitiesMr.Darcyhimselfneednotdisdain,andrespectabilitywhichhewillprobablynevereach." Whenshethoughtofhermother,herconfidencegavewayalittle; butshewouldnotallowthatanyobjectionstherehadmaterialweightwithMr.Darcy,whosepride,shewasconvinced,wouldreceiveadeeperwoundfromthewantofimportanceinhisfriend’sconnections,thanfromtheirwantofsense; andshewasquitedecided,atlast,thathehadbeenpartlygovernedbythisworstkindofpride,andpartlybythewishofretainingMr.Bingleyforhissister.
