Thesecircumstances,addedtotherefreshmentIhadreceivedbytheirvictualsanddrink,whichwereverynourishing,disposedmetosleep. Isleptabouteighthours,asIwasafterwardsassured; anditwasnowonder,forthephysicians,bytheemperor’sorder,hadmingledasleepypotioninthehogsheadsofwine.
