"CousinBenedict"—hewascalledsoinvariably,evenoutsideofthefamily,and,intruth,hewasindeedoneofthosegoodmenwhoseemtobetheborncousinsofalltheworld—CousinBenedict,alwaysimpededbyhislongarmsandhislonglimbs,wouldbeabsolutelyincapableofattendingtomattersalone,eveninthemostordinarycircumstancesoflife.Hewasnottroublesome,oh!no,butratherembarrassingforothers,andembarrassedforhimself.Easilysatisfied,besidesbeingveryaccommodating,forgettingtoeatordrink,ifsomeonedidnotbringhimsomethingtoeatordrink,insensibletothecoldastotheheat,heseemedtobelonglesstotheanimalkingdomthantothevegetablekingdom.
