Yes!Thenumberofslaveswhoarriveatthecoastisestimatedatnotlessthaneightythousand;andthisnumber,itappears,onlyrepresentsthetenthofnativesmassacred.
Afterthesedreadfulbutcheriesthedevastatedfieldsaredeserted,theburntvillagesarewithoutinhabitants,theriverscarrydowndeadbodies,deeroccupythecountry.
