Branches,greatandsmall,tornawaybytheferocityofthetornado,hurtledthroughthewildlywavingverdure,carryingdeathanddestructiontocountlessunhappydenizensofthethicklypeopledworldbelow.
Forhoursthefuryofthestormcontinuedwithoutsurcease,andstillthetribehuddledcloseinshiveringfear.Inconstantdangerfromfallingtrunksandbranchesandparalyzedbythevividflashingoflightningandthebellowingofthundertheycrouchedinpitifulmiseryuntilthestormpassed.
Theendwasassuddenasthebeginning.Thewindceased,thesunshoneforth—naturesmiledoncemore.
Thedrippingleavesandbranches,andthemoistpetalsofgorgeousflowersglistenedinthesplendorofthereturningday.And,so—asNatureforgot,herchildrenforgotalso.Busylifewentonasithadbeenbeforethedarknessandthefright.
ButtoTarzanadawninglighthadcometoexplainthemysteryofCLOTHES.HowsnughewouldhavebeenbeneaththeheavycoatofSabor!Andsowasaddedafurtherincentivetotheadventure.
