           So,earlyonemorning,hesetforthaloneuponhisquest.Afteralittlesearchhelocatedtheclean-pickedbonesofhislateadversary,andcloseby,partlyburiedbeneaththefallenleaves,hefoundtheknife,nowredwithrustfromitsexposuretothedampnessofthegroundandfromthedriedbloodofthegorilla.

           Hedidnotlikethechangeinitsformerbrightandgleamingsurface;butitwasstillaformidableweapon,andonewhichhemeanttousetoadvantagewhenevertheopportunitypresenteditself.HehadinmindthatnomorewouldherunfromthewantonattacksofoldTublat.
