ThiseventwascopiedintotheLondonpapers,outofwhichMissBriggsreadthestatementtoMissCrawley,atbreakfast,atBrighton.Theintelligence,expectedasitmighthavebeen,causedacrisisintheaffairsoftheCrawleyfamily.
