           ‘Nonsense,’rejoinedthegirlcoolly,‘Goon,Fagin.Iknowwhathe’sgoingtosay,Bill;heneedn’tmindme.

           ‘Ishouldthinknot!’repliedtheyounglady:drawingherchairuptothetable,andputtingherelbowsuponit.

           ‘No,no,mydear,Iknowyou’renot,’saidtheJew;‘butandagaintheoldmanpaused.

           ‘Butwot?’inquiredSikes.
