Hetwistedroundagainandlookedattheenlargedphotograph.Itwasframedinabrown-and-giltframe,hideous.Itshowedaclean-shaven,alert,veryyoung-lookingmaninaratherhighcollar,andasomewhatplump,boldyoungwomanwithhairfluffedoutandcrimped,andwearingadarksatinblouse.
’Itwouldn’tbeabadidea,wouldit?’hesaid.
Hehadpulledoffhisboots,andputonapairofslippers.Hestooduponthechair,andlifteddownthephotograph.Itleftabigpaleplaceonthegreenishwall-paper.
