           “Youcancalmdownthen,becauseyou’renotgoing.You’rebetterathomeinyourownbed,andasforthatclubconcert,it’sallnonsense,andlittlegirlsshouldnotbeallowedtogoouttosuchplacesatall.”

           “I’msuretheDebatingClubisamostrespectableaffair,”pleadedAnne.

           “I’mnotsayingitisn’t.Butyou’renotgoingtobegingaddingabouttoconcertsandstayingoutallhoursofthenight.Prettydoingsforchildren.I’msurprisedatMrs.Barry’slettingDianago.”
