           Thenhespedswiftlytowardsthesphinx-likemound,andhiscompanionsfollowedhimoverroughgroundstrewnwithvolcanicremainsofallsorts.

           Themonstergrewlargeraswenearedit,butlostnoneofitsmythologicalshape.
