           Hungry,wearywithwatchingherchild,ScarlettlefthimtoMelanie’scareforawhileandlaydownonherbedtonap.Herfeeticy,shetwistedandturned,unabletosleep,weigheddownwithfearanddespair.Againandagain,shethought:"WhatshallIdo?WhereshallIturn?Isn’tthereanybodyintheworldwhocanhelpme?"Wherehadallthesecurityoftheworldgone?Whywasn’ttheresomeone,somestrongwisepersontotaketheburdensfromher?Shewasn’tmadetocarrythem.Shedidnotknowhowtocarrythem.Andthenshefellintoanuneasydoze.
