           Hewassowelldressedtoo.Hiscoatandtrouserswereactuallyofthesamematerialandtheyfittedhim,insteadofhanginginfoldsorbeingalmosttootightformovement.Andtheywerenew,notragged,withdirtybarefleshandhairylegsshowingthrough.Helookedasifhehadnotacareintheworldandthatinitselfwasstartlingthesedays,whenothermenworesuchworried,preoccupied,grimlooks.Hisbrownfacewasblandandhismouth,redlipped,clearcutasawoman’s,franklysensual,smiledcarelesslyasheliftedherintothecarriage.

           Themusclesofhisbigbodyrippledagainsthiswell-tailoredclothes,ashegotinbesideher,and,asalways,thesenseofhisgreatphysicalpowerstruckherlikeablow.Shewatchedtheswellofhispowerfulshouldersagainsttheclothwithafascinationthatwasdisturbing,alittlefrightening.Hisbodyseemedsotoughandhard,astoughandhardashiskeenmind.Hiswassuchaneasy,gracefulstrength,lazyasapantherstretchinginthesun,alertasapanthertospringandstrike.
