Whenatlastsheleftyou,youlapsedatonceintodeepreverie:youbetookyourselfslowlytopacethegallery.Nowandthen,inpassingacasement,youglancedoutatthethick-fallingsnow;youlistenedtothesobbingwind,andagainyoupacedgentlyonanddreamed. Ithinkthosedayvisionswerenotdark:therewasapleasurableilluminationinyoureyeoccasionally,asoftexcitementinyouraspect,whichtoldofnobitter,bilious,hypochondriacbrooding: yourlookrevealedratherthesweetmusingsofyouthwhenitsspiritfollowsonwillingwingstheflightofHopeupandontoanidealheaven.
