"No,sir."Itstrucktwelve—Iwaitedtillthetime-piecehadconcludeditssilverchime,andtheclockitshoarse,vibratingstroke,andthenIproceeded.
"AlldayyesterdayIwasverybusy,andveryhappyinmyceaselessbustle;forIamnot,asyouseemtothink,troubledbyanyhauntingfearsaboutthenewsphere,etcetera:Ithinkitagloriousthingtohavethehopeoflivingwithyou,becauseIloveyou.
