           "I,too,shouldbesorryenoughtolosemine,"answeredthegoodcuré,withincreasingemotioninhisvoice.

           "Whatadifference!"answeredthejailerkeenly."Asforyou,M.lecuré,weallknowthatyouhaveeighthundredfrancsayear,goodsolidmoney."
