           ‘Gentlemen,’saidtheindividualinblack,‘areyouallagreeduponyourverdict?’

           ‘Weare,’repliedtheforeman.

           ‘Doyoufindfortheplaintiff,gentlemen,orforthedefendant?’‘Fortheplaintiff.’

           ‘Withwhatdamages,gentlemen?’

           Mr.Pickwicktookoffhisspectacles,carefullywipedtheglasses,foldedthemintotheircase,andputtheminhispocket;then,havingdrawnonhisgloveswithgreatnicety,andstaredattheforemanallthewhile,hemechanicallyfollowedMr.Perkerandthebluebagoutofcourt.
