           ‘Don’tyouthinknow,mydearSir,Iputittoyoudon’tyouthinkthatfiftypoundsandlibertywouldbebetterthanMissWardleandexpectation?’

           ‘Won’tdonothalfenough!’saidMr.Jingle,rising.

           ‘Nay,nay,mydearSir,’remonstratedthelittleattorney,seizinghimbythebutton.‘Goodroundsumamanlikeyoucouldtrebleitinnotimegreatdealtobedonewithfiftypounds,mydearSir.’

           ‘Moretobedonewithahundredandfifty,’repliedMr.Jinglecoolly.

           ‘Well,mydearSir,wewon’twastetimeinsplittingstraws,’resumedthelittleman,‘saysayseventy.’‘Won’tdo,’saidMr.Jingle.
