TherewasalittlesmilebothofperplexityandamusementinGeddie’seyesashesetthebottledown,andlaidthreecigarssidebysideonhisdesk.Hefetchedhissteamerchairfromthegallery,andstretchedhimselfcomfortably.Hewouldsmokethosethreecigarswhileconsideringtheproblem.
