Itwassomuchaddedfueltotheflameofhisfierceness.Therecouldbebutoneresult,andthatwasthathisferocityfeduponitselfandincreased. Itwasanotherinstanceoftheplasticityofhisclay,ofhiscapacityforbeingmouldedbythepressureofenvironment.
Inadditiontobeingexhibitedhewasaprofessionalfightinganimal. Atirregularintervals,wheneverafightcouldbearranged,hewastakenoutofhiscageandledoffintothewoodsafewmilesfromtown. Usuallythisoccurredatnight,soastoavoidinterferencefromthemountedpoliceoftheTerritory. Afterafewhoursofwaiting,whendaylighthadcome,theaudienceandthedogwithwhichhewastofightarrived. Inthismanneritcameaboutthathefoughtallsizesandbreedsofdogs. Itwasasavageland,themenweresavage,andthefightswereusuallytothedeath.
SinceWhiteFangcontinuedtofight,itisobviousthatitwastheotherdogsthatdied. Heneverknewdefeat.
