           ThesymbolsofHonourandGloryandTimethatlookedsohandsomeinthefloodingsunlightoftheTitanic’sstairwayliecrushedintounrecognizableshapesandsplintersbeneaththetonnageoftwothousandfathomsofoceanwater.Timeisnomoreforthefifteenhundredsoulswhoperishedwiththem;butHonourandGlory,bystrangewaysandunlooked-forevents,havecomeintotheirown.ItwasnotTime,northecreaturesandthingsofTime,thatreceivedtheirfinalcrownthere;butthingsthathavenothingtodowithTime,qualitiesthat,intheirpowerofrisingbeyondallhumanlimitations,wemustneedscalldivine.
