           PinocchiojumpedoffthePigeon’sback,andthePigeon,notwantinganythanksforakinddeed,flewawayswiftlyanddisappeared. 

           Theshorewasfullofpeople,shriekingandtearingtheirhairastheylookedtowardthesea. 

           "Whathashappened?"askedPinocchioofalittleoldwoman.
