           AfterthewomenhadgottenRobinHoodtotheroombeneaththeeaves,thePrioresssentalloftheothersaway;then,takingalittlecord,shetiedittightlyaboutRobin’sarm,asthoughshewereabouttobleedhim.Andsoshedidbleedhim,buttheveinsheopenedwasnotoneofthosethatliecloseandbluebeneaththeskin;deepershecutthanthat,forsheopenedoneofthoseveinsthroughwhichthebrightredbloodrunsleapingfromtheheart.OfthisRobinknewnot;for,thoughhesawthebloodflow,itdidnotcomefastenoughtomakehimthinkthattherewasanythingillinit.
