           AfterawhileRobinlookedaroundhimwithtear-dimmedeyesandsaid,inahuskyvoice,"Now,IswearthatneveragainwillIleavethesedearwoodlands.Ihavebeenawayfromthemandfromyoutoolong.NowdoIlaybythenameofRobert,EarlofHuntingdon,andtakeuponmeonceagainthatnoblertitle,RobinHood,theYeoman."Atthisagreatshoutwentup,andalltheyeomenshookoneanother’shandsforjoy.

           ThenewsthatRobinHoodhadcomebackagaintodwellinSherwoodasofoldspreadlikewildfirealloverthecountryside,sothaterease’ennighthadpassednearlyallofhisoldyeomenhadgatheredabouthimagain.ButwhenthenewsofallthisreachedtheearsofKingJohn,hesworebothloudanddeep,andtookasolemnvowthathewouldnotrestuntilhehadRobinHoodinhispower,deadoralive.
