ThenthethreearchersoftheKingturnedandwentbacktotheirbooths,andRobinandhismenwenttotheirplacesatthemarkfromwhichtheyweretoshoot.Thentheystrungtheirbowsandmadethemselvesready,lookingovertheirquiversofarrows,andpickingouttheroundestandthebestfeathered.
ButwhentheKing’sarcherswenttotheirtents,theytoldtheirfriendsallthathadpassed,andhowthatthesefourmenwerethefamousRobinHoodandthreeofhisband,towit,LittleJohn,WillScarlet,andAllanaDale.Thenewsofthisbuzzedaroundamongthearchersinthebooths,fortherewasnotamantherethathadnotheardofthesegreatmid-countryyeomen.Fromthearchersthenewswastakenupbythecrowdthatlookedonattheshooting,sothatatlasteverybodystoodup,craningtheirneckstocatchsightofthefamousoutlaws.
