Theplayersallplayedatonce,withoutwaitingforturns,quarrelingallthewhile,andfightingforthehedgehogs; andinaveryshorttimetheQueenwasinafuriouspassion,andwentstampingabout,andshouting"Offwithhishead! "or"Offwithherhead! "aboutonceinaminute.
Alicebegantofeelveryuneasy: tobesure,shehadnotasyethadanydisputewiththeQueen,butsheknewthatitmighthappenanyminute, "andthen,"thoughtshe,"whatwouldbecomeofme? They’redreadfullyfondofbeheadingpeoplehere: thegreatwonderis,thatthere’sanyoneleftalive!"
Shewaslookingaboutforsomewayofescape,andwonderingwhethershecouldgetawaywithoutbeingseen,whenshenoticedacuriousappearanceintheair: itpuzzledherverymuchatfirst,butafterwatchingitaminuteortwoshemadeitouttobeagrin,andshesaidtoherself "It’stheCheshire-Cat: nowIshallhavesomebodytotalkto."
