           "No,mychild,no!andyouareright.Intwohoursdaybreakwillcome,andweshallbesaved.Bravo,Thalcave!mybravePatagonian!Bravo!"headdedastheIndianthatmomentleveledtwoenormousbeastswhoendeavoredtoleapacrossthebarrierofflames.

           Butthefirewasfastdyingout,andtheDENOUEMENToftheterribledramawasapproaching.Theflamesgotlowerandlower.
