WhileMichaelwasrefasteningthelockoftheparkdoorintheafternoon,Igotpossessionofthekey,andtoldhimhowmycousinwishedmetovisithim,becausehewassick,andcouldn’tcometotheGrange;andhowpapawouldobjecttomygoing:andthenInegotiatedwithhimaboutthepony.Heisfondofreading,andhethinksofleavingsoontogetmarried;soheoffered,ifIwouldlendhimbooksoutofthelibrary,todowhatIwished:butIpreferredgivinghimmyown,andthatsatisfiedhimbetter.
