Aquarterofanhourelapsed.Whentheboatappearedattheothersideofthepoint,itwassofaroffthatourbulletscouldnotreachit.Hearnehadalreadyhadthesailset,andtheboat,impelledbywindandcurrentjointly,wassoonnomorethanawhitespeckonthefaceofthewaters,andspeedilydisappeared.
