Webreakfastedatnineo’clockinthetents.Oursailorswereperfectlyconfident,andcouldnotrefrainfromdrinking“successtotheevent”;andalthoughthiswasalittlepremature,weaddedourhurrahstotheirs.Successseemedverynearlyassured,asthecaptainandthematehadworkedoutthemattersocarefullyandskilfully.Atlastwewereabouttoleaveourencampmentandtakeupourstations(someofthesailorsweretherealready),whencriesofamazementandfearwereraised.
