           Onreflectionitwillbeseenthattheexplanationgivenbymedeservedtobeadmitted.AndthenitcametomyremembrancethataccordingtoArthurPym’snarrative,Tsalalbelongedtoagroupofislandswhichextendedtowardsthewest.UnlessthepeopleofTsalalhadbeendestroyed,itwaspossiblethattheymighthavefledintooneoftheneighbouringislands.Weshoulddowell,then,togoandreconnoitrethatarchipelago,forTsalalclearlyhadnoresourceswhatevertoofferafterthecataclysm.Ispokeofthistothecaptain.

           “Mybrother,mypoorbrother!”

           Onalittlereflection,however,mymindrefusedtoadmitcertainthings.
