           Buttheywereallwellmannered,beautifullytailored,andtheyevidentlyadmiredher,soitmatteredlittletoScarlettthattheychosetoliveutterlyinthepresent.WhatreallymatteredwasthattheywereRhett’sfriendsandhadlargehousesandfinecarriages,andtheytookherandRhettdriving,invitedthemtosuppers,gavepartiesintheirhonor.AndScarlettlikethemverywell.Rhettwasamusedwhenshetoldhimso.
