           TheyhadalllistenedintentlytoOzma’sstory,andwhenshefinishedspeakingtherewasalongperiodofsilencewhileallthoughtuponthecuriousmagicalpoweroftheWaterofOblivion.

           FinallytheScarecrow’spaintedfacetookonabroadsmilethatstretchedtheclothasfarasitwouldgo.

           "HowthankfulIam,"hesaid,"thatIhavesuchanexcellentassortmentofbrains!"

           "IgaveyouthebestbrainsIevermixed,"declaredtheWizard,withanairofpride.
