Dorothywasdelightedwiththesuccessofher"SurpriseCake,"andafterthemonkeyshadfinishedtheirperformance,thebanquetcametoanend.

Ozmathankedthemall,andsaidshewouldplacetheMagicFlowerinherboudoirwhereshemightenjoyitsbeautyandfragrancecontinually.ButnowshediscoveredthemarvelousgownwovenbyGlindaandhermaidensfromstrandsdrawnfrompureemeralds,andbeingagirlwholovedprettyclothes,Ozma’secstasyatbeingpresentedwiththisexquisitegownmaywellbeimagined.Shecouldhardlywaittoputiton,butthetablewasloadedwithotherprettygiftsandthenightwasfarspentbeforethehappygirlRulerhadexaminedallherpresentsandthankedthosewhohadlovinglydonatedthem.
