           Fannythoughtshehadneverknownadayofgreateragitation,bothofpainandpleasure;buthappilythepleasurewasnotofasorttodiewiththeday;foreverydaywouldrestoretheknowledgeofWilliam’sadvancement,whereasthepain,shehoped,wouldreturnnomore.Shehadnodoubtthathernotemustappearexcessivelyill-written,thatthelanguagewoulddisgraceachild,forherdistresshadallowednoarrangement;butatleastitwouldassurethembothofherbeingneitherimposedonnorgratifiedbyMr.Crawford’sattentions.
