But,mindyou,thoughPeterwassoslowingoingbacktohismother,hewasquitedecidedtogoback.Thebestproofofthiswashiscautionwiththefairies.TheyweremostanxiousthatheshouldremainintheGardenstoplaytothem,andtobringthistopasstheytriedtotrickhimintomakingsucharemarkas“Iwishthegrasswasnotsowet,”andsomeofthemdancedoutoftimeinthehopethathemightcry,“Idowishyouwouldkeeptime!”Thentheywouldhavesaidthatthiswashissecondwish.Buthesmokedtheirdesign,andthoughonoccasionshebegan,“Iwish—”healwaysstoppedintime
