           Meantime,letmeaskmyselfonequestion—Whichisbetter?—Tohavesurrenderedtotemptation;listenedtopassion;madenopainfuleffort—nostruggle;—buttohavesunkdowninthesilkensnare; fallenasleepontheflowerscoveringit;wakenedinasouthernclime,amongsttheluxuriesofapleasurevilla:tohavebeennowlivinginFrance,Mr.Rochester’smistress;deliriouswithhislovehalfmytime—forhewould—oh,yes,hewouldhavelovedmewellforawhile.
