           "Iamsoglad,"shecontinued,asshesatdownoppositetome,andtookthecatonherknee;"Iamsogladyouarecome;itwillbequitepleasantlivingherenowwithacompanion. Tobesureitispleasantatanytime;forThornfieldisafineoldhall,ratherneglectedoflateyearsperhaps,butstillitisarespectableplace;yetyouknowinwinter-timeonefeelsdrearyquitealoneinthebestquarters.
