           NotlongafterRobinhadsogonetohisrestagreatcloudpeepedblacklyoverthehillstothewestward.Higherandhigheritaroseuntilitpiledupintothenightlikeamountainofdarkness.Allaroundbeneathitcameeverandanonadullredflash,andpresentlyashortgrimmutterofthecomingthunderwasheard.ThenuprodefourstoutburghersofNottinghamTown,forthiswastheonlyinnwithinfivemiles’distance,andtheydidnotcaretobecaughtinsuchathunderstormasthisthatwascominguponthem.Leavingtheirnagstothestableman,theyenteredthebestroomoftheinn,wherefreshgreenrusheslayallspreaduponthefloor,andtherecalledforthegoodliestfarethattheplaceafforded.Afterhavingeatenheartilytheybadethelandlordshowthemtotheirrooms,fortheywereaweary,havingriddenallthewayfromDronfieldthatday.
