           ButRobinHoodhadgonethroughmorethanhewottedof.HisjourneyfromLondonhadbeenhardandlong,andinase’ennighthehadtraveledsevenscoreandmoreofmiles.HethoughtnowtotravelonwithoutstoppinguntilhehadcometoSherwood,buterehehadgoneahalfascoreofmileshefelthisstrengthgivingwaybeneathhimlikeariverbankwhichthewatershaveundermined.Hesathimdownandrested,butheknewwithinhimselfthathecouldgonofartherthatday,forhisfeetfeltlikelumpsoflead,soheavyweretheywithweariness.
