Mr.Whiffers’saddresswasrespondedto,withashoutofadmiration,andthehealthoftheinterestingmartyrwasdrunkinamostenthusiasticmanner;forthis,themartyrreturnedthanks,andproposedtheirvisitor,Mr.Weller—agentlemanwhomhehadnotthepleasureofanintimateacquaintancewith,butwhowasthefriendofMr.
