           ‘Youhearthis,Samivel?’saidMr.Weller,inthesamejudicialformofspeechasbefore.

           ‘Ihope,Sir,’saidSam,addressinghismaster,‘Ihopethere’snoharminayoungmantakin’noticeofayoung‘oomanasisundeniablygood-lookingandwell-conducted.’

           ‘Certainlynot,’saidMr.Pickwick.

           ‘Notbynomeans,’acquiescedMr.Weller,affablybutmagisterially.

           ‘Sofarfromthinkingthereisanythingwronginconductsonatural,’resumedMr.Pickwick,‘itismywishtoassistandpromoteyourwishesinthisrespect.Withthisview,Ihavehadalittleconversationwithyourfather;andfindingthatheisofmyopinion
